Q:Do I need to avoid food for fever?
A: No
Besides infectious diseases such as respiratory tract infection, gastrointestinal tract infection and urinary tract infection, tumor,Endocrine and Metabotic Diseases and Rheumatic immune diseases may also cause fever.
Fever is mainly associated with pathogenic factors, and has nothing to do with diet.. If not, these foods that can affect body temperature should not be eaten when you don't have a fever.
Some foods do aggravate the condition, such as a diet high in sugar and fat that makes diarrhea worse in patients with acute gastroenteritis, or a spicy diet that makes the throat more sore in patients with herpes pharyngitis. The intake of these foods should be avoided regardless of whether the patient has a fever or not.
Therefore, in these case that if we are not allergic to eggs, beef, fish, chili peppers, and other foods that we regularly ingest, and the food does not worsen any other conditions,we can eat any food when we have a fever.Eating enough to have more strength would help us to fight with disease
